1973-74 Orange Road with TV Nameplate
This jersey was worn by Gary Dornhoefer in selected TV games during the 1973-74 NHL regular season and playoffs.
The TV namplates were added to the jersey so the players could be identified by the home viewer.
The Flyers designed their 2008-09 third jerseys after the 1973-74 TV jerseys with the white namplates. The number font was only used for the first 2 games before they switched to their regular number font. In 2009-10 they discontinued the black home and used this style as their home jerseys.
